The City of Glasgow is well worth visiting. The architecture in the older heart of the city is outstanding, with a wealth of museums and galleries. A particular favourite among those with an interest in the sea is the the Transport Museum and the Clyde Room. In this room you can see a superb collection of some 250 ship models. These models of new vessels were constructed by the many shipyards active on the River Clyde. Nearby is the recently refurbished Kelvingrove Museum.
